Overview

We asked people if they had gone through any one of 15 different types of milestones or major events in their lives in the past two years. The survey found that millions said the Internet played a critical or important role when they got more education or training for their career, when they purchased cars, when they helped a loved one deal with an illness, when they dealt with an illness themselves, when they were looking for schools for themselves or a child, when they made a financial or investment decision, when they looked for new jobs or searched for new housing.
