Lee Rainie joins Mayur Patel of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and Barbara Kibbe and Tony Siesfeld of the Monitor Institute in discussing new research findings about the information ecosystem of communities. The material will be presented to leaders of community foundations at the Media Learning Seminar. The new research looks at citizen experiences and attitudes in Macon, Philadelphia, and Santa Clara about local media and institutions. It explores the ways local news organizations, governments, libraries, and other anchor institutions are serving the information appetites of their communities.
