The National Cancer Policy Forum at the Institute of Medicine hosted a workshop to examine the elements of a rapid learning health care system for cancer that includes patient-centered quality, value, safety, and innovation.

Susannah Fox presented the Pew Internet Project's latest findings on the internet's impact on health and health care, including an early look at new data showing how people living with chronic conditions gather and share information online. Joining her on the panel: Simone Sommer, MD, MPH, and Josh Sommer, The Chordoma Foundation; Gilles Frydman, Association of Cancer Online Resources; Jamie Heywood, PatientsLikeMe.com.
