Rep. Jerry Nadler, Susannah Fox, and Jamie Heywood discussed the coming revolution in health care at the Personal Democracy Forum conference in New York City, June 29-30.

Esther Dyson, the moderator, asked each panelist to prepare a list of questions they would like to be asked instead of preparing formal remarks. In this way, the discussion of participatory medicine and participatory democracy will actually be participatory.

Since the Pew Internet Project has fresh data on social media and health care, as well as home broadband penetration, Susannah's questions include: Who's not yet participating online? Are there any signs of change? What trends should we watch? Her answers are based on the insights detailed in The Social Life of Health Information and Home Broadband Adoption 2009.
