More than a third or 35% of online adults create content online, and 57% of teenagers 12-17 make their own content to post to the Web. Younger users and home broadband users are the most avid content creators, and most post their creations online to express themselves creatively and to share their experiences with others. Beyond blogging and YouTube, the increasing prevalence of broadband and the ever-increasing opportunities for creating and sharing content digitally contribute to the expansion of this phenomenon and even to the expansion of the definition of online content creation itself.
