'"Online banking use became increasingly popular in the past two years, with the fastest growth coming among the Generation X crowd, a new study says.
The non-profit Pew Internet & American Life Project, which has been monitoring the social impact of the Internet in the United States for about five years, said Wednesday that a November survey of 537 Internet users showed that 44 percent said "yes" to the question, "Do you ever do any banking online?"
NOTE:Many news sites move articles into data bases after a period of time and then offer them for sale, in the process changing the URLs that link to them. Or they require registration. Thus, we provide a link to the front page of the news website and the information necessary to find the story on that site, rather than a direct link to the article.
