Kevin Delaney's Wall Street Journal article about small businesses' use of aerial mapping services reminded me of some other online tools that can be used on a computer, or increasingly, on a cellphone. Armchair scouts can check out how many cafes are near Dupont Circle or how much a house might sell for in a certain neighborhood.
