About one in five U.S. adults have participated in an Internet video call on their desktops or cellphones, according to a survey released Wednesday by the Pew Research Center's Internet & American Life Project.
In its
first survey of video calls, Pew said 17 percent of respondents said they had been involved in a video or teleconference online. Six percent said they had placed a video call on their cellphones. Some of 3,000 people surveyed said they had done both, bringing the total to about 19 percent.
