Susannah Fox will conduct a 90-minute Master Class on participatory research as part of the 3-day Stanford Medicine X conference to be held September 27-29, 2013. The final curriculum will be shaped by the learners themselves through their course applications, but tentatively includes:

  • What is participatory research? What can you learn when you listen more than ask?
  • Models of participatory research, a description of the process.
  • Participatory vs. conventional research: setting the agenda, ownership of results, power and control.
  • Problems and challenges of participation-based research.

Fox is collecting resources related to participatory research on her blog and on Storify. Please comment if you have a contribution.
