Pictures Don’t Lie

In 2002, we asked internet users about “vanity searches” and found that one in four admitted to typing their own name into a search engine. Most people said the information was accurate – just 17% said it was inaccurate.

I wonder how many people are typing their own addresses into Google Maps, just to see what they can see. Or, even better, typing in other people’s addresses. As they say, pictures don’t lie – there’s little chance for inaccuracy here.

Sites are springing up to do some of the work for you – linking directly to Graceland or Area 51.
